Collection: Marvels from Mona Island - POP Art or Psychedelic? - A new View of the Tropics and Nature is Revealed

We all love to entertain visitors and marvel ourselves with the beauties of Nature at home. Here we have these creative works where Raul is armed with a Nikon D850 45MP camera, with ultra-sharp images of the remote, little-known Mona Island near Puerto Rico - Its beaches and caves. Exploring IS Life... Credits to the PR Sierra Club for the expedition.

Most photographs are manually enhanced to reveal hidden secrets in unique images of spellbinding beauty, looking like a new type of Pop Art. The philosophy of the explorer - Raul Garcia - is that photography & art can go beyond its focus on the Human form as the center of the universe... we are nothing in the vast scale of time and space.

Our vision is limited by our senses, ideas and viewpoints. Here Raul as a mathematician and photographer gives a new view of nature where color, harmony and shapes are everything - no need to understand or classify.

A digital image is really a set of positions and numbers, what we are shown has been manipulated for our biases. In this work inspired by Gaudi,  Andy Warhol, Van Gogh and Picasso, we transform digital photography into a new art form. The Acrylic medium is the most lasting, with stunning colors to preserve the view.
