Some of my recollections:
Like many in CA Babaji gave weekley satang - including chanting and pranayama basics - then a Q&A were he wrote on the small blackboard and was read to the audience - of usually over 100. He lived and supported spiritually Mt Madonna. Very many in the Santa Cruz region were deeply affected by his powerfull silence and stillnes - a silent yogi then for over 40 years. His joy, simplicity and knowledge (ayurveda & yoga) impressed everyone.
To give an idea of his inner vision - once I had gone in the morning to meditate early in the caves in what is now the Wilder Ranch State Park - in the region next to UCSC, my 2nd home then. Then i went to the satsang with Babaji and sat close to him. In the QA period i asked a typical question about Enlightment...He quickly looked at me and replied (in the blackboard):
'Just by sitting in a cave you will not get Enlightment!'
I was stunned - there was no way knew of my habits since i was in independent disciple.
Another time he was asked about meditation and Enlightment and he anwered:
'It is like throwing a ball in the air - it comes down. But there will come a day when it will not come down!'
We that met him are all very blessed. I humbly bring these images as a sign of gratitude.
Note the profit from the small posters is only 10% for good karma - may cover ad costs.
If anyone is offended that I used his/her image - let me know to remove it.

raul
